Cranberries

Growing on bushy and trailing/creeping vines, cranberries are round, glossy and red colored berries. Cranberries are also considered as a super-food.

Cranberry flesh has a crispy firm texture and a bitter, acidic and sour taste (overwhelming its sweetness). Because of its sour flavor profile, it is rarely consumed raw and mostly consumed in blended form mixed with other sweet fruit juices.

Average size of a cranberry is 1.5 – 3 cm (0.6 – 1 inch).
