Elderberries

Elderberry is a dark purple berry when fully ripe. Resembling the shape of a micro-sized blueberries, elderberries have a juice and firm texture.

Rich in antioxidants, elderberry’s flavor is tart and a little sweet. (sweetness depends on the variety of elderberry. e.g. American elderberries are comparatively sweeter than their European counterpart).

Unripe green elderberries should not be consumed as they can prove to be toxic.
