The fruits of the loquat grow in clusters and are oval, rounded, or pears in shape. When ripe, the skin appears smooth, sometimes downy, peach-colored with red blushes.

Ripe loquat flesh can be white, yellow or orange in color. Loquats have a smooth and firm flesh, similar to an apricot and, depending on the variety, can be juicy, tangy, sweet, and acidic (its acidity can range from low to medium).

Average size of a loquat is about 5 cm (2 inches) in length. Average weight of 40 -50 gram (1.4 – 1.7 ounces).
