In recent years, hazelnut exports from Turkey have grown most rapidly in China. Turkish hazelnuts were exported to China 8,938 tons last season and 9,875 tons this season.
Managing director of the Giresun trade exchange Hamza Boluk told reporters that most hazelnuts were exported from Turkey to European countries in the 2020-2021 export season.

German imports of Turkish hazelnuts can now be attributed to the season 2020-2021, while Chinese purchases of walnuts are also increasing.
Turkish hazelnut exports to 120 countries in 2020-2021 totaled $ 2.11 billion.
The value of the hazelnuts delivered to Germany was $472.26 million.
Italy comes in second ($ 388.76 million) and France comes in third ($ 148.98 million).
