India: Now order your fish online using MIMI app in Kollam district, Kerala

Kerala Fisheries Department extended the supply of fish to 29 more places in Kollam district a fortnight after launching MIMI Fish as a retail venture for fresh and cleaned fish delivered to doorsteps.

MIMI Fish stores will distribute fish to two panchayats, three municipalities, and 24 Kollam Corporation wards through their nine outlets. Fresh, non-adulterated fish will be delivered to your doorstep in half-kg packets.

MIMI’s smartphone app can be used to place online orders. Purchases can be made at MIMI stores as well.

There will be one MIMI centre in each of the municipalities of Paravur, Kottarakara and Karunagappally. Thodiyoor and Mayyanad will each have one MIMI store. Kollam Corporation’s 24 wards will receive fish from four more MIMI stores.

MIMI Fish outlets are planned in other parts of Kollam besides Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta. For more information, please visit http://www.parivarthanam.org/ or call +91 9383454647.

MIMI fish is usually processed, preserved, and stored using hygienic standards and protocols set by the European Union. Fishers or trusted farms catch the fish, which is immediately chilled by CIFT’s technology, in compliance with European export standards. Taking hygiene and the health of our customers seriously, MIMI Fish collects, processes, packages, and stores the fishes in accordance with the highest standards and hygienic parameters.

Fish-transport vehicles will be equipped with state-of-the-art refrigeration systems, so that the quality of the fish will not be adversely affected during transit, regardless of the season. In November 2020, the government launched the Parivarthanam project, which aims to help establish a green energy network and enable traditional fishery activities to be sustainable.
