Peru is expected to export between 220,000 tonnes and 240,000 tonnes of mangoes in the next marketing year, which begins in November. In the 2019/2020 financial year, it was 237,000 tonnes, and in the 2020/2021 financial year, it was 217,000 tonnes.
According to Juan Carlos Rivera Ortega, Director General of Peruvian Association of Mango Exporters (APEM), 60% of the mango harvest will go to the U.S., 30% to Europe, and 10% to Asia and Latin American countries.
