SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.– Plenty is the first taste-driven vertical-farming company that has the goal of improving the lives of individuals as well as the environment, has announced that it has appointed Gerardo Spamer of Navarro to the position of the Grow Director.
In this position, Gerardo will manage Plenty’s growth teams in both San Francisco and Compton, California as well as working in close collaboration to R&D as well as Farm DevOps teams to optimize every aspect of plant growth.

Prior to beginning his tenure at Plenty, Spamer managed technical production, greenhouse operations and production operations across his native USA, Europe, New Zealand and Mexico. He worked as an the agricultural engineer for Windset Farms in California, which was where he managed more than 30 acres of highly-technified greenhouses that were hydroponic. His previous experiences include Naturesweet, EuroFresh and Pepsico International.

Gerardo obtained the Bachelor’s degree degree in agricultural engineering at Monterrey Tech in Mexico and his Master of Science in the field of vegetable production at the University of Almeria in Spain.
