In the 2021 Vertical Farming World Awards, Light Science Technologies (LST) won for its sustainable grow light range NurturGROW the award for ‘Best Sustainability Initiative’.
A panel of independent judges selected the Derby-based lighting company, which is at the forefront of the lighting industry, as the winner of the award for its innovative lighting product.
NurturGROW was recently introduced and is made from materials that offer a high-performance, cost-effective solution to indoor growers. In addition to being 90 percent recyclable, the system is 85 percent reusable, making it easy for growers to upgrade components without service interruption, allowing it to be handled easily and maintained over time.
Light Science Technologies CEO Simon Deacon commented on receiving the award: ” We are thrilled to receive this award, especially at a time of exciting growth for the business. It is recognition of all the team’s hard work over the past two years, and cements LST’s place at the front of indoor farming technology and innovation.”
During Zenith Global’s 2021 Vertical Farming World Congress, the inaugural awards were presented to 18 winners across 16 categories on Tuesday, 21 September.
According to Light Science Technologies, it provides lighting, science, and research-proven plants monitoring technology and software in collaboration with world-renowned university research teams.
